8 year old black and white Saddlebred Paint cross mare. I do not have any papers for Sugar. Sugar stands about 15-2 hands high. She is gaited and has a beautiful rack. Sugar moves like she was trained for the show ring!
On a scale of 1-10, 1 being easiest to handle & 10 being hardest, I would call her a 2. Sugar is easily suitable for a beginner. I would and have been very comfortable putting a beginning rider with absolutely no experience on her. She would never even think of biting, kicking, bucking, or rearing. She has 4 smooth gaits but prefers to rack and only moves into a canter or gallop when pushed. Sugar had 2 months of training this summer before being used as a guided trail horse. She crosses water, ties, loads, is road safe, and has been ridden in parades. She has been ridden in a western saddle all summer but is also trained English.
I would say that on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being easiest to handle & 10 hardest, Myieh would rate about a 4, an assisted or confident beginner can handle her. She never acts out, (no bucking, kicking, rearing, or biting) always listens but you have to be firm when you ask her to do something. Myieh was ridden by 10-14 year old kids without supervision or help and has been in more than one parade. She has 4 smooth gaits (w,t,c,g), and went through 2 months of training this summer before being used to give guided trail rides to the public. She crosses water, loads, ties, neck reins, and is road safe.

(Viviparis malleatus) Close to Actual Size
The Black Japanese Trapdoor snail (Viviparis malleatus) is the preferred species of water gardeners world-wide. This snail is black in color, body and shell. We ship them when they get 1-1˝" long. Trapdoor snails are one of the few larger varieties that can survive the winter in Northern climates. This snail is a great asset in keeping algae under control as they groom your plants, planting pots and watergarden walls. They also cruise the pond bottom and consume decaying matter such as leaves and fish food. These are live bearing snails. They only breed a couple of times a year so don't expect them to multiply fast like regular egg laying snails. Full grown snails are around 3" long.
Order according to the size of watergarden or pond you have. For ponds and watergardens use at least 1 snail per 3 square feet of pond space. For snails to have a positive effect on algae growth you should have 20 for small watergardens and 50 or more for larger watergardens. Farm ponds should have at least 200 to have any positive effect.
