1970's-80's Federal and Decorative Whiskey Stamps - $15 (Shepherdsville)

9 different AUTHENTIC Bourbon Whiskey tax stamps used in the late 1970's-early 1980's (NO COPIES OR REPRODUCTIONS). These come in an envelope so you can arrange them any way you desire for display.

All are UNUSED (when picture was cropped UN in front of USED was omitted). All stamps are NEW, meaning not removed from a bottle.

3 of the stamps are Bonded (green) and 4 of the stamps were used on unbonded whiskey bottles (red).

The state's name printed on some stamps reflect the alcohol control laws of certain states- which required a state stamp on distilled spirits entering the state for resale.

The very seldom-seen, and probably relatively rare, "Not Genuine - For Display Purposes Only" was used on bottles displayed in liquor stores.

The Wild Turkey label was among the first "Distillery Produced Seals" allowed when the federal government began taxing by the barrel instead of the bottle-making the old stamps no longer required. Since the early 1980's distilleries have been allowed to design and affix their own "seals".

I will sell these individually for $2.00 each, or the group of 9 different for $15.00.

I have a few of other stamps such as miniature, decanter miniature, and other fifths at different individual prices.

Don't delay as my supply is running low. As Yogi would say, "when they're gone, they're gone!".

Uses for these? They make a great framed collage for a bar (on the wall or under glass on the counter) or game room. Put them on your empty decanters so they appear full. Do you manufacture specialty jewelry? These would make unique bracelets (with the "Bourbon Explosion" you could find an untapped niche!). Lastly-use YOUR imagination!

Check out my other ads for old unused whiskey labels from the 1960-s-70's, decanters of all kinds, and beer steins (especially Budweiser). Just click "more ads by this user" link.
