I have a 93 Mitsubishi 3000GT that I am restoring. It was running perfectly when it just died while sitting at a red light. The engine turns over but will not start. After towing home I discovered that a 30A fuse under the dash labeled engine was blown. I replaced it but got the same results. The fuse did not blow again however. I removed one of the spark plugs and determined that while connected to the coil wire it is not generating a spark. That's all I know and I'm not sure what the next step is in trouble shooting.
I can have it towed to an auto electric shop and pay them $150/Hour to diagnose and repair, but I'm afraid I'm in for a larger bill than I can afford. I'm hoping to find a mobile mechanic who can diagnose and either repair or show me what needs to be repaired. I'll order and pay for all parts. Rate is certainly negotiable in advance, and I'll pay cash, but I can't afford $150/Hour on a car that's 25 years old and not worth much more than that.
