condition: new
Carrier Brand, Model# HC43AE134 Furnace Blower/Fan Motor

1/2 HP, 115V, 1050 RPM, 3.75" Shaft

Brand New, Still In Box

Backstory: This past October, my neighbor who is an ex-HVAC technician misdiagnosed a rattle in my furnace to be a bad motor with burned out bearings. He went and bought this new motor at The Habegger Corp - HVAC Supply House in Louisville. He paid $393.06 (tax included) for it (with his contractor pricing--see attached pic of invoice and receipt). He installed it, fired it up and the same rattle was still there. He said he didn't know what the problem could be. (Maybe this is why he's no longer an HVAC tech). I then hired a REAL technician and he determined the problem was not the motor at all but the fan blade was bent and hitting against the inside of the furnace sheet metal which was causing the rattling sound. He replaced the blade and it all cost me $75. He took out the new motor and re-installed the original which still works fine. So I gave the NEW motor back to my retired HVAC neighbor who then took it back to Habegger to get a refund for me since it was only installed for a day or two and only used for maybe 1 minute of service. But they were complete jerks and said since it had been installed they would not allow a return or refund.

So I'm out $396.06 and would like to sell this motor to someone that can put it to good use. An HVAC repairman, a DIY handyman, etc. As I have detailed, it's practically brand new. Any HVAC guy would know by looking at it and would know what one of these cost.

I looked this exact model# up online and Amazon sells it for $399.49. Check it out for yourself and you will see.

So my misfortune can be your gain. I'd like to get $300 for it but would listen to any fair, reasonable and legitimate offers.

Thanks
